We are  family owned and operated by Rex and Sandy Mercer. We offer over 850 acres of some of the finest natural habitat along Shawnee Creek. This includes grain fields of corn, milo and sunflowers, natural bird fields and over 10 miles of of filter strips.

Running Roosters Hunting Resort is a hunting service located 6 miles east and 1-1/2 miles north of Columbus, Kansas. We are 5 miles from Missouri and 15 miles from Oklahoma.

about controlled shooting

Controlled Shooting permits can be bought at our clubhouse. A Kansas resident or non-resident license is also accepted. Social Security numbers are required by Federal law to be able to purchase a license. All minors must be accompanied by an adult along with a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian.
